Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on January 3, 1959, Jerome Saintjones attended public schools before enrolling in 1977 as an English major and history minor at Tuskegee University, and graduating in the school’s Centennial Class of 1981. He subsequently completed studies toward a master’s degree in higher education administration at Auburn University, and he earned the Ed.S. degree in higher education administration from Alabama A&M University. He has worked for nearly 30 years in the area of public relations at Tuskegee University, the Macon County (Ala.) Commission, the Southeast Alabama Sickle Cell Association and Alabama A&M University (AAMU) in Huntsville, Ala. Saintjones currently serves as Director of Public Relations at AAMU. Saintjones has been affiliated with Pi Lambda Theta Education Honor Society, Lamda Iota Tau Literary Honor Society, Optimist International, and Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society. Married to the former Marilyn Ann Orange of Los Angeles, California, and father of one daughter, Morgan, Saintjones has consulted with numerous non-profit organizations, ensuring that his behind-the-scenes efforts make the entities shine.
